ZLAN5240 Serial port server is a 2 serial port RS232/485/422 and TCP/IP protocol converter developed by Shanghai ZLAN Information Technology Co., LTD. It also supports the Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU function. The ZLAN5240 supports two RS232 serial ports and two RS422/485 serial ports, which are connected to the ZLAN5240 through one network cable to realize the full-duplex operation of the two serial ports. The RS485 port is a green wiring terminal port, and the RS232/RS485 port is an RJ45 network port. ZLAN can be equipped with RJ45 to DB9 wire, 2 such wires connected to the RS232 interface of 2 RJ45 can lead to 2 DB9 male RS232 connectors. The 5240 also provides an additional Ethernet interface that can be used as a switch or cascading. The ZLAN5240 supports four serial ports, six serial ports, and eight serial ports. The 5240 provides two power access modes: power socket and wiring terminal, wide voltage range, and shell ground wiring protection.

The serial port server can easily connect the serial port device to the Ethernet and Internet, and realize the network upgrade of the serial port device.

ZLAN5240 is a cost-effective serial server, RS232 interface support full duplex, uninterrupted communication; RS485 embedded 485 lightning protection. Support DHCP, DNS, can easily achieve remote device monitoring. Virtual serial ports are supported, and the original serial port PC software does not need to be modified.
